I wanted to address some of the questions I have had about payment and shipping. I am quite flexible about these options, so feel free to email me some suggestions or additional questions and I will update this page.
Payment
I try to be as flexible as possible with payments, but the easiest way is directly through my website. You can specify different amounts on the custom order page.
Other options: Etsy, Paypal, Bank Transfer, or Bizum.
If you prefer the safety and reputation of paying through Etsy, for example, let me know which product you want and I will set it up with my seller account and send you a link. There is a 15% fee for this service, but at least you get the security of purchasing from a website you may be more familiar with.
If you are in Spain, you can use Bizum or a bank transfer. If you are in the USA, you can pay by bank transfer as well.
Any other ideas?
Pricing:
I keep my original art as affordable as possible so that people on a variety of budgets can have unique illustrations in their homes. Since local pickup or delivery saves me time on preparing items for shipping as well as money on postage, I pass those savings on to my customers. I am in the Valencia area, but please contact me if you live in Alicante, Denver, or Orlando about more possibilities. At checkout, enter Discount code 30 for a 30% no-shipping discount.
Colored pencil work is more time consuming to create, but I think it's worth it for the amount of detail the images contain. Therefore, you may notice that the images are either more expensive than paintings or, if they are the same price, they may be smaller.
Presentation and Shipping:
Most of my original 2D artwork is placed in a basic frame for protection during storage and shipping. It will be ready to hang upon arrival, although eventually I recommend getting glass with UV protection to prevent the image from fading. Due to standard framing sizes, sometimes the images are slightly larger than they appear, so some images may benefit from a custom frame at some point anyway.
Some art can be rolled up and shipped in a tube for a discount. This is a cheap, safe way to send art, but many people prefer to have their art kept flat.
I use the post office (Correos.es or USPS) to ship originals, and if the work arrives damaged I will replace it with another similar painting if the client desires. If you are in the USA, work tends to arrive at Customs in New York within 24-48 hours, but can take a week or two to clear their office. I will keep you posted and send you a tracking number.
Shipping Prints: Turn around time for shipping Fine Art Prints and other products varies by location, as I use different printing services in different countries. Please read each product description to see if the cost of shipping is included or not.
Turn Around Time: Most of my original artwork is commissioned and created on demand, so I may take from 1-3 weeks to finish and prep it for shipping. The same goes for prints, as those are done by a professional printer and I don’t have control over that aspect. If you would like me to get a print out to you faster, please let me know and I will check different printing options.
If you want a print to be sent to my studio and signed by me before shipping it out to you, let me know as well. This will increase the value of the print, but also delivery time and shipping cost.
Copyright: While the image you purchase is yours, I do not sell copyright permission. In other words, any image reproductions need to be licensed separately. Digital products can be printed, but if they are published they must be finished by the client to the point of looking like a new original, and include a link to my website. For example, if you are going to post a coloring page on social media or copy it, it must be fully colored by the client and include a link to my website in the description.
